Looks like another loss looming...

That's no stopping different to no overnighting, ask why every car parked did not get a ticket as someone might have been sleeping inside? Cant see cant prove
They ticketed every motor they could, just started and worked their way along.

If its taxed and insured and if needed has an MOT then they have no chance of enforcement as unless they physically enter the van they have no idea who is there, * We closed the blinds for security! No Leveling ramps etc ( In the UK) no idea about the Iberian countries. We had the same problem with a self righteous neighbour who complained to the builders, the council and anyone else that would listen, We got a visit from the planning officer who advised us that we could not park a motorhome on the drive, pointed out it was taxed and insured and was my daily if needed drive and was not a commercial vehicle so were we being penalised for our choice of transport ? *Its a caravan and you are not allowed to leave it on your drive,* * Its a van with sleeping accomodation that may be /can be used SOD off* And nothing further 10 years since has been heard but make sure we wave to Winging Wendy as she drives past!

Just someone doing their job, that’s all. They’re not volunteers with an itch to scratch. Shops open at 9am and charge you for their goods or services, Petrol forecourts charge you for whatever amount you draw off, parking charges are no similar to any other service provided. It’s dead easy to avoid parking fines, just pay for what you use and then be on your way

Amazing how councils thing it's sensible to actually spend taxpayers money on preventing folk paying to park and spend money in their area....

Pretty much what you expect from Local Government..... well it's not their money they are wasting - it's yours !

We have parking on the sea front. Four motorhomes have been here for weeks, but may be residents, however parking with two wheels on the pavement to level smacks of camping.
I did that in spain lots lol better than putting ramps out

Seems to me that a lot of councils believe the hype about motorhome owners leave crap behind & are anti motorhome full stop. However there are a lot of the people who overstay their welcome & will not follow the countryside code.
A classic example of the few spoiling it for the many.

Doesn't happen in France because MHs are catered for -

- a bit like councils here make using tips expensive and difficult then moan (and then we pay) at having to clear up fly tipping....

Councils - great at wasting money, short on ideas to actually fix problems....

Then come 09-45ish all the "Wags" roll up in their 4WD`s, Beemers, Mercs Et-al
What does the make of car have to do with the issue?

Didn't you realise that there was a GP surgery, pharmacist & school nearby when you moved into the area?

My ex in-laws lived next to a school & the volume of traffic which got worse year by year would have been enough to make me pack up & move. The parking tended to be totally inconsiderate.

One thing I'd do if I was thinking of moving to an area would be to have a look at various times of the day.

Get your neighbours to park in the road for a week they will have to find alternative places to park. Or block them in so when they come to collect their vehicles they have to wait until you let them out.🤬🤬🤬🤬

Did all of that, and yes, we where aware. We only moved from a Larger property in the same village. But we wanted the bungalow, and there is a shortfall of said property on the Market. Don`t get me wrong, We can work around the issues I raise. What is galling are attitudes of the inconsiderate, much like those who abuse parking in the manner posted by the O/P. My Neighbour found his drive blocked, by one of the "wags", her attitude was I`m only going to be a minute" and gave him the V sign, when he said he had a Hospital apointment, he was on Cemo; at that juncture!!. As for car makes, It is a mystery (to me) why these particular persons find the need to bring large vehicles with one child in, a distance they could walk in about 10 min, and proceed to to put said child in danger?. What motivates them?.

I don`t think it would be useful to go that route even if it allayed the frustration of myself and other residents. I actually have some sympathy especially with the Pharmacy/Doctors staff as there is NO off road parking. Something that could have been addressed some years ago had the local planners not blocked an application by the Practice to re-locate to a more suitable site. (which is now a small housing estate, Surprise, Surprise?). In practical terms If I want the Motorhome out I move it onto the road outside the Bungalow before 7-30am and hitch the "toad" behind, ready to roll. More worrying are those who actually park on the corner causing blind spots and potential for accidents. the police have been informed several times but are noticable by their absence. The Parish Council have requested Double Yellow Lines for the corners several years ago. But so far no response from ERCC.

The issue surely is perceived camping as opposed to overnight resting. If I want to camp I would look for a campsite. However when I want a overnight rest stop? That becomes a different issue as current UK law sees it, I can park, but not sleep in my parked vehicle. Sorry about the popcorn chaps. But this has been done to death, both here an on many other websites, faceache etc.

Must be a lot of “resting” lorry drivers about 😂

Don’t know about Scotland but that an offence in England and you can get a ticket for it.

But only going out if your drive not in 🤷‍♂️

Not a lot of comfort to my neighbour who was stressed enough as it was

Totally agree but if it had been my neighbour the car jack would have been out and the car left in the middle of the road 😊

I’ve done it before and would in the future if I had to 😉😊
