Hi
We are looking at buying a new motorhome,
Currently looking at the swift escape 640 based on the fiat 140hp Ducato with the new 8 speed auto 2025 model.
Does anyone own one or can anyone comment on h the his model?

We have looked at the new 2024 /25 ford transit based units but concerned about the engine wet belt that they have?

Thanks Ian

My Ford base vehicle is 5 years old now & we've never had an issue. Mind you I've always had a Ford service plan meaning the engine is treated right.

The 640 is quite heavy, add a wind out awning and it's down to around 350kg without up plating to 3700kg (you'll need C1 for this). I'd certainly never consider using it as a 4 berth meaning the added weight of the Aguri travel seats is a huge waste of payload. At £86k it's also pretty expensive due to cost of the Fiat base vehicle. Consider your off grid needs too as U.K built competitors have switched to lithium and 200w solar for 2025 whilst keeping the overall cost below £80k.
