But don’t tell everyone how beautiful and unspoilt it remains.Northumberland is a big county so are you planning Tyne Valley area, coast, Cumbria Border, Cheviots, border with Scotland, Kielder lake and forest?
You could tour for a couple of weeks and there would still be more to see
I like it a lot and have been 3 times now, organised a WildAx Owners' Group meet there last year and everyone loved it!There’s a good article in this months MMM about Bellingham. Made it sound so good I want to go, and I used to live there.
Hi dogs aren't allowed on the Farne Islands. A good walk is to park at Ross and walk through the Ross Link dunes to beach, it's a lovely quiet beach, the walk North to the needle is scenic. We went last June and stayed in Bellingham - handy for Cragside which is a fascinating National Trust place, The Barn at Beal which is only a mile from Holy Island and has fantastic views if you pick the right pitch, Springhill Farm which was a decent walk into Seahouses (Farne Island is a great boat trip if you like puffins) and is handy for Bamburgh Castle and Dunstan Hill which was very pleasant and a bus ride to Alnwick and its castle. We don’t have a dog but I assume they’re all dog friendly.
