Looking for an MOT Station recommendation please, Portsmouth or surrounding areas

Hi,

The van is 8.6m and 6 ton, so presume it will need a pit or suitable ramp.

We'll be on the road and needing a MOT, so looking for an MOT Station recommendation please, that could take us, Portsmouth or surrounding areas (circa 30 miles in any direction), anywhere in that vicinity really

Had previously booked in with a dealer with a 9m pit, but they've had to cancel has they didn't think it would leave them a safe enough margin to get in / out of the pit.

Although M/Benz specialists, they can easily fit in a Concorde as they are a Truck and van workshop.

Lol the garage that mot's mine has a 6 metre pit . They just move the van forward and back on the pit to do it.

Plus there is next to nothing mechanical underneath the rear 2m of the Van.

Any Council MOT service yard is where I take mine. Usually attached to the depot as they do commercial vehicles even though mines class 4, bus, bin wagon etc.

Me too! Always took my 30 year old VW to the council MOT station. The good thing is they do not offer any repairs/maintenance so they have no vested interest in failing it.
