Does anyone know of an app for AdBlue at garage pumps locator please

The eroute app I use for locating pumps for my UK Fuels card has an adblue option/filter on it amongst others.

I suppose you could select a number of different card options in the app and use it that way to locate the wider range of adblue locations.

You could buy it from aldi or lidl, usually a bit cheaper and they are in most towns around country

There is an app - Adblue4you but in my area it doesn’t have very accurate information, a lot of places missing although it did help me find a good one. If you try it you need the “lorry” option selected I feel as selecting ”car” seems to find places that sell adblue in containers.

Have to confess we have only had to top up once so far but the next fill due soon will be at a pump, might be dearer but I found it a lot easier, both in convenience and not having to think how much was needed.

Peter is the pumped adblue same as fuel pump, auto cuts off when pressure backs up?

Be careful, they don’t store it very well, it is supposed to be kept out of sunlight.

Very informative vid that, theres no way retailers can meet those requirements with lose units like that. Even bunkered bulk would struggle to remove all end of life stock before they refill with a fresh load. At least bunkered if under ground is out of sunlight and potentially in the 0 to 25 deg mark unless we get a really hard frost lol. Just shows what a poor design adblue is for emmision control.

Did my first fill when light came on filled with 10ltrs of a forecourt bottle, easy, ignition on, wait a bit before starting and light goes out and reading full.
So it would appear light comes on when in theory still 9 ltrs left in the tank.

Yes, that was my experience, just like filling up with fuel. When it cut off I didn’t try squeezing any more in.

to be fair most things that are liquid should not be stored in sunlight
Currently £14.99 for 10l in my local Aldi (Breightmet nr Bolton)
Best price that I've seen for a pre packaged 10l tub, for a couple of years.

Don’t bother , my local Ad. Blue pump is cost prohibitive
By a 20L drum from eBay it’s half the price

Speaking as a person with the vast experience of filling once from a 10 ltr container in Skye, it's really is not difficult and the van is still running! Garage had it stored in an open but lockable forecourt container. No problem in my experience.

I fill from a 10 ltr container, I put it on the Wheely bin and use a Syphon pump to fill the van. I got the AddBlue from Amazon and I keep it in a dark shed

Just put 2 x 5 litres in my pickup ( Ford Ranger) and got it from Home Bargains for £4.99 for 5 litres.
That's the best price I've seen.

I’m new to this but adding to this thread rather than start a new one.

In France it was cheaper at pump than bottled. E5.95 for 5 litres bottled at big E Leclerc store. E4 for 8 litres at the pump at same store.

Now back home, does anyone have a rough idea of the going rate at UK pumps?

Seem to remember the last fill up being £1.549 per litre, this was at a BP garage I know isn’t the cheapest but is convenient. Also, a lot of HGVs fill up there so not a risk of it being old stock.

I get great satisfaction when we have just serviced and have a empty black and grey with full water then get to a garage and top up the diesel, adblue and gas tanks. Best feeling in the world.
Always use a pump as the adblue filler is in a locker.
Best price ever was near to St. Malo france at only 55 cents a litre in May. Worst was at my very convenient local shell garage ar £1.79 a litre. Robbing gits.

Wickes are still selling it at £12 per 10L (just checked again online) . Good turnover so should be fresh.
