Long Term Home Insurance

This has probably been raised before but I can't seem to find anything. We're considering going to warmer climes for 3 months in January but appears our buildings and home insurance doesn't cover us for over 30 days. Anyone have any options of insurers that do permit longer unoccupancy periods? Thanks

Have you talked to your own insurance provider? They may be able to extend it but they’ll probably want more money. My dads house is currently empty whilst we sell it. We’ve had to change the policy and it has conditions. It has to have someone go in once a week to check things are ok and the heating has to be set to come on at 10C.
