Long shot....Wimbledon

Does anyone know of a place I can park a motorhome as I've been let down with accommodation and I'm being a military steward at Wimbledon.

We have to take leave to assist with Wimbledon but Wimbledon LTA with such great generosity pay us a huge £114 a day so we can find accommodation in London for 12 hrs days for 2 weeks, which we all know doesn't go to far in London.

I know I moan but I like seeing friends I met there and the tennis is ok

There is nothing really local to Wimbledon but last year I Marshalled at the open golf and the local rugby club turned part of their facilities into a motorhome site.
May be worth contacting the club direct.
A couple of camc and ccc sites out towards Walton on Thames.

The CCC Club site at Horsley is close to the Railway line which goes through Wimbledon.

How close to Wimbledon?
Think I agree with Figaro.... seems too good to be true..
However tennis to me like watching paint dry... but I understand others njoy it.. so have a good, once in a life time experience....

The last time I was at Wimbledon there were loads of empty driveways with parking for hire.
It used to be every driveway was full. How big is your van ? Those will make a difference of where you can hide
Have a look at the rates in carpark by tesco it becomes a park and ride just off A3

Nope it's for the month but I've only asked for the two weeks I need

Ive messaged and it's a good 25min work but thats my normal walk anyway

Now just waiting out to be messaged

There's a quite alot but most are are to small but I just need a parking space as I've got access to shower and things at Wimbledon

I have to say I think tennis on the TV is terrible but in person it's fantastic but the evenings are spot on with a few beers, wines, gins and pimms... Not all in the same glass at one time

Yes I am sure it is like every event... not the actual event but the atmophere...
We are festival goers... but would never dream of going just for the day.. it all happens an the evening and night when day visitors have left.

I did something similar many many years ago when in RN and part of the support crew for the Pompey Field Gun Crew at the Royal Tournament in Earls Court.....
