Load plate query

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what the 5,500kg weight is circled in this picture? I get the 3,850 and what I assume are the maximum axle weights, but the other one is puzzling me. I can only guess that it is the maximum weight if towing (would that be right)?

Just remember that although the maximum weight of van plus trailer is 5,500kg, you must still ensure that none of the other weights are exceeded. In other words, you may be less than 5,500kg total, but your vehicle weight must not exceed 3,850kg, and neither axles must be over 1,850kg & 2,000kg.

All too easy to think I can tow a 1,650kg trailer but unwittingly push the rear axle weight and/or the vehicle weight over their maximum.
