Llanrwst car park

Llanrwst is an excellent stopping place with heated toilets. We are regulars there. There is a good Co-op and can recommend the eat in chippy.

Thanks for the reminder we have not been for a while. (y)

The Rhug Estate near Corwen (on A5) is also an excellent stop, farm shop and cafe.
Allow overnight stops as well.
North Wales had a lot to offer motorhomes.
Just the mist and rain can be problematic.

Not forgetting the young farmers who venture into town once monthly as I found out on a night out which made for a lively night in the local pubs and clubs .We had a police escort back to our minibus :)

Thanks I did not know you could stop there!
We also have an EV and use the charger occasionally.

The drive through is useful but it has a bit of a limited menu, you would expect Bison Burgers at least but not when we last were there !

Do not forget that you can stay on any car park in Powys. The most Motorhome friendly County in UK. I like Machynleth good pubs & toilets.
You have to pay after 8am. Best stay over on a Tuesday and visit the excellent street Market on Wednesday. There is a leisure centre close by opens early for a swim.
Llanidloes & Brecon are also good stopovers.

Yes we've used the large (well huge actually) Machynleth car park as another plan B when I couldn't find anywhere around Tywyn one Saturday evening.

We parked on the left as you drive in, I think next time I will go to the other side where it is probably quieter it well lit and very safe.

One odd thing the TV transmitter is not far away afaik but the reception was rubbish only a few channels and all in a foreign language!

Not been to Brecon yet in the van that's for next spring.

Electric Vehicle, we put Diesel in the van and Electricity in one of our cars, my attempt to offset all the Weasels we burn.
Ahh, right, range anxiety, a quick boost to get to your destination (y)

Nope never suffered that but when it's time to eat if there happens to be a charging point as well then it gets used unless the price is silly some are 50p per kw which is a bitt ott!

We use a lot of the free ones at the various NT locations as well and last August we effectively toured all of North Wales over a two week period for virtually free.

I can't wait for vans to become all electric (and affordable) :)
