Lithium sizes

Ive got a Hymer Exsis and the batteries are underneath the seats which makes access a bit of a pain. But more importantly the height of the current AGM batteries is 170mm and they are a close fit under the seat with little room to spare. I want to change the leisure battery to lithium but I can't find a lithium battery with a height of around 170mm. Has anyone solved this problem?

It depends on how much wriggle room you have on the height. I have a 280 LifePO4 on its side under the passenger seat of my Ducato - this requires only 190mm of height.

Which Exsis to do have? I have an Exsis-t and I’ve got 2 Fogstar 105Ah batteries. I got 2 as anything with more capacity wouldn’t fit, even on its side.

I am considering the BOS LE300, there will be those who say its expensive, but it is what Hymer have used, looks like it could fit and 6x units may well fit in although I am going to check if so it would give 150Ah plus the Gel, its plug endplay solution and do not have to change any charging components.

The BOS Battery S looks interesting in that it could be used within the home then unplugged and plugged in to the Motorhome, it is this type of multi use flexible solution Batteries need to progress too. Hymer are calling it smart battery 2

Sounds like another Exsis battery variant.

But all the variants I have seen, under the occasional seat behind the table is my favourite place - unless you are carrying 4 people.

Check your dimension, 190mm is a common working height. What make and model of battery is currently under the seat?

You can put them on their sides so they fit. I have 3 x ecotree stood on their ends side by side. Otherwise I could not have fitted them where I wanted
