I will shortly be offering my surplus LiFePo4 100Ah batteries for sale.
Before doing so is there anything I can test that will give an indication to a buyer of their state of health?
I am getting 13.1V from each, does that mean they are healthy? I have no idea of their state or charge but I can connect them up to a lithium charger when it arrives this week.
BTW I have no reason to suggest they are not its just that I dont want to sell them if they arent good.
Thanks

The usual things that folks would check are the number of cycles and the number of protection trips, all viewable via the bluetooth connection to one of the many Apps available for them.

Some folks might do a capacity check too but that’s a bit more involved.

I bought a Lipo from a fellow Funsters. He asked for 50% on collection and balance when or if I was happy it was ok.

I thought that a very fair option and indicative of the trust on here.

It was great and I willingly transferred the balance.

An honourable thing to try and do before selling. On my Roamer LiFePO4 battery 13.1V would be about 60% charge. What make, how old and how heavily used?

Lots of LiFePO4 batteries don’t have bluetooth, it is a recent idea and not included by all manufacturers.

Exactly, including the Fogstar Drift Eco, which is another reputable brand.

Cheers,

Jock. :)
