Thanks for the kind words. I think buying direct from china is a punt. As with any gamble only use what money you can afford to lose.I read quite a lot of your posts and admire your dedication in research of most things technical and advanced technology. I on the other hand am a complete numpty with a very short attention span hence my lack of knowledge.
So my point is what is your considered opinion of the battery in the op's link? My current set up is 2 x 90ah the weight saving alone (given I don't have loads of cash to splash about) would make the viability of 1 x 200ah battery + the weight saving an attractive upgrade.
That says 2.8v in the picture. Worrying as that is only a cell and you would need 4 of them to make up a 12v nominal voltage battery.View attachment 562449Even cheaperer.
No, I replaced my lead/acid batteries earlier this year. I did look at the price at the time but they were a lot dearer and wasn’t sure if my system could have charged them properly.bigtree have you ordered one, out of interest?

Yes I saw all that. But them getting the voltage wrong in the marketing doesn't say much for them as a company. I would be concerned buying from them. Seems like they are box shifters and nick their pictures from elsewhere without understanding them. That was really the point I was trying to make (Badly)
But, what comes out of China is not all the same. Winston comes from China as well as Lito Cala, worlds apart. Depending where you getting them from. Ali express agree is a big gamble, same goes for the rebrands imported. The ones that put their name and warranty on it it’s a better bet. Thanks for the kind words. Wissel is the man to speak to. He has actually put into practice the method of building a LiFePO4 systems from Cells. I may know a tiny bit more on the theory side, but his practical experience and knowledge are far more valuable.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a battery from China as I wouldn't trust the electronics in it. I would buy the cells as they are pretty much all made in China no matter who you get them from.
They won’t be the manufacturer, just a seller. Yes, the English translations can be poor sometimes.Yes I saw all that.
