Hi there Paul,
At the present time I have no plans for after the show, Just wait and see where the 'van heads. May carry on down to Norfolk or cross over to the Kidderminster area, or just see
where the best weather is. hopefully the campsites won't be too busy in October.

Hi Goe + Pammy, i had booked but was told the Sat night Motown show was fully booked (wasnt shown on web-site) i cancelled + got a refund. We were taking 2 friends of ours + the Motown show was to be a 50th birthday present for her so now its elsewhere for us + just a day trip in the car to Lincoln.

They did that show last year but outside when lincoln was called the midsummer music festival, have they got hermans hermits on again before the motown show

Been on the website but it doesn't give any information regarding the show may be it will be on your tickets (if you have them).

We are planning to come to this - will be booking tomorrow. As we are still newbies, only been away in the mhone twice, and both on fully serviced pitches perhaps I can ask a dumb question. For this type of event do people arrive with the fresh water tank full or is water normally available without a problem?

Secondly, we are going to be arriving pretty late on Friday night and I would assume it will be dark. Do they normally shut the gate on this type of event for camping arrivals at dusk?

Hi Pete
Empty or full the choice is yours, we arrive full as we dont need the hassle of carting a 36ft Rv to the taps werever they may be, plus it takes forever to fill
Gate usualy close 9pm or 10 pm, any late arrivals after that time stop in the late arrival area till next morning

Just been reading through the programe in the MMM Magazine for August and it does not mention Hermans Hermits just says Sound of the Four Tops, Moni Tivony A Lionel Richie tribute band and Roy Hemmings dictionary of Soul,


We have booked with some friends that was before we knew there was going to be a "FUN" gathering so hopefully if we can find your spot in the crowds we will come and introduce our selves looking forward to a good weekend- Sue and Steve

Any one going to the NEC in October we have booked two night on the CC temporary site could not find anywhere else it would be nice to meet up with some Funsters !!

Another question now we have booked:

Do any suppliers typically offer a service where they will fit something like a CAMOS sat dish at the show ie on site? Or is it not worth the hassle and so we would be better off getting it fitted either at home or at a local specialist?

Yes we have our very own supplier and installer on this forum, Mark from Central Leisure Services does most of the fitting at the shows solar too if anyone needs it:thumb:
I would book early to aviod disapointment he gets very busy at show time
He may well see this post and respond or send you a PM (Private Meassage):thumb:
