Lincoln, lawns car park

thinking of a trip to lincoln to see cathedral and do a bit of shopping, is the lawns a good place to stay to access shopping etc,was thinking of going friday night and stopping over till sunday, not sure if car park has space usually.

Should be ok at this time of year, especially if you arrive during the afternoon. I can't remember if there is any restriction on multiple nights, as I have only ever stayed a single night at a time.
