Does anyone know how to remove a light switch frame surround in a Hymer exsis?
I have just got our camper back from having a new fridge/freezer fitted however I noticed that the lights in the bedroom don't work. The switch is located on the wall next to the fridge so I'm guessing that during the removal/refiting one of the wires may have come off. I don't want to drive all the way back to have them fix it if it is something I can do myself. I'm hoping that if I can get the switch frame off I can get at the switch and hopefully see what the problem is but I don't want to break it trying to get it off.

It’s likely just a surround that you effectively just pull off. There is often a shallow cut out close to the flat wall surface. Best to use a small plastic trim tool to gently lever up. You could use a flat screw driver, but protect the wall from dents with a little piece of wasted board to lever gently against.

If it's like the CBE switches I have sometimes had to very carefully slide a stanley knife blade behind.

Yep, probably flicks off. Try a narrow scraper blade rather than s screwdriver if you have it, to spread the load and limit possible damage to the edge. The clips on mine are two per vertical edge. (Not a Hymer but they're all pretty similar).

I use a filler knife, single trims are easy, be careful double trim they can bend & crack in the middle.
