length of Moho and trailer when booking ferry

Can anyone help with my question. Moho is 6.1mts and trailer is 4.5mtrs, total length 10.6mtrs.
When looking at ferry booking page it asks for Moho length which comes under, over 6 up to 7mtrs and trailer, up to 5mtrs, total 12mtrs.
obviously they are not going to disconnect the trailer and park separately, so the booking is for 12mtr length when i am only 10.6mtrs.
So my question is, could i book Moho at 6mtrs and trailer up to 5mtrs, total 11mtrs? or is it not worth any hassle at the port with over efficient
staff and tape measures. Thanks

Frankly, it’s not worth the potential hassle.

It’s a bit like axle weights, you’ll have to be compliant with all individual requirements otherwise you're giving them a reason to take action.

On the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry I book the van at small motorhome 7 meter's and the trailer at 5 meter's not a total length.
