Hi guys, we own a splitty and I'm currently shopping for the best leisure battery in prep for the summer. Does anyone have any brand recommendations?

Anything specific also appreciated

Hi there and welcome

I guess it depends on how much battery space you have and what type of charger.

And

Off grid ? Campsite ehu? Solar?

As for brand I think exide take some beating.

Hi, welcome and while it may seem like you've asked a simple question...

:D

What are you looking to power, how long for and how do you plan to put the power back into the battery would be my starting questions.

I'd possibly follow up by asking if you have constraints on the battery dimensions or if you had a budget in mind.

Lithium best, then Gel, then lead acid.......

All are called leisure batteries but have differing charging requirements and different abilities to supply the peak power you need.

As far as I gather the op owns a split screen VW , unless it’s been significantly modified ( which is very possible) the options are probably limited to lead acid.
