Led lights

I’ve got 2 very poor lights in my camper plus 2 battery ones under the units at cooker.
Where is the best place to get good led lights and can I connect battery led lights up to the existing tube lights

Are the existing lights 12v? Any 12v lights can be wired to the same circuits unless there are some dimmer switches in the circuit.

Yes they are 12v off the leisure battery but really dull tube type

Then connect any new 12v lights to the circuit in parallel with the tubes or instead of them. LEDs are much more efficient than tube types.

I meant to say, if I buy the type of led lights that take batteries, can I connect them up to existing wiring

If you buy ones that have internal batteries there is no need to wire them to anything. They run off their own batteries so have no need of any other supply.

Very unlikely they will work. Normal led lights that run on batteries are only a few volts, not 12.
You are better buying some dedicated 12v lights and then connect those to the circuit.

Unless they are 12v, which I very much doubt, then no.

They need to be 12v.... so therefore require to have 8 (AA or AAA) battery's in them to be conpatable... !!!!

Cheap Chinese LED strips off ebay last a reasonable time for the cost. Replace the tube lights with LEDs will reduce the draw on the leisure battery. Other lights with replaceable lamps like halogen ones you can get LED lamps that simply plug in like for like. Costs from 99p, but I generally buy from uk sellers starting about £2 if you buy a few

I am still running cheap Chinese made fitted 5 years ago and could change them 5 times over compared to some of the big brand sellers like Atten Lighting whodo the shows. Remember even those expensive ones in shiny boxes are made in China anyway
