Right this is just an heads up , can't say whether it's a good deal or not but I have gone for it.
Looking for a cheap SIM for a second phone I came across this deal, if you go through uswitch you get a Lebara deal that should be £5 for a thousand mins and 3 GB data but in fact you get unlimited mins and texts and 5 GB of data for £4.95 a month with the first three months at £1.89.
Seems good to me but perhaps someone knows different .
Ordered it yesterday it's just come so havnt tried it yet.

I switched to them and got three months @2.99 followed by 6.99 thereafter that’s for unlimited calls and texts with15 GB of data. They run on the Vodafone network so decent signal. I have phoned the helpline twice when I needed to change phone settings. Very polite and helpful people

Yeah I know I could have got more but what I have gone for is ample, and was looking at the least I could pay just to have the phone working if I need it.

I switched to them 2 months ago with Martin Lewis special. 6 mths at 85p then the remaining 6 months at £5. Cancel at any time. Very pleased so far

We’ve both had Lebarra on and off the last couple of years. They are monthly sims, so can cancel easily. I tend to look again as each deal finishes. We’ve had good signal both in UK & EU, & I think it was 12GB roaming. I’m not sure if you can tether?

Done quite a bit of searching and although you can get slightly cheaper you don't get anywhere near the gig and mins.
I have had that 1 p one before now and it looks cheap till you use it, surprising how it adds up and you have to keep topping it up or they cut you off after so long of no use.
The free Welsh one that some recommend says it is not available, so all in all it seems about the best at the moment plus if you have need of calling abroad that is included in your minutes.
As I say,I havnt tried it in a phone but up to yet it looks a winner if you don't use the phone a lot.

I've had Lebarra for over a year now, no problems at all although I've not been abroad with it

Bin with them over a year too yy
But I've been to France twice.
After adjusting the network data settings to match their help page details I get on OK.

Oddly, in the UK I have to use Vodafone's network data settings :o
Lebara support don't know why I have to do that but the workaround is OK - luckily.

Great News by the sound of it, thanks Guys.(y)
How easy did you find it getting a PAC Code from your existing provider to keep your phone number?
Its been years since I switched from Orange to Vodafone, and I remember it being a nightmare then.
I recently spent days trying to get an old spare I phone unlocked from Vodafone, the original dealer Carphone Warehouse saying only Vodafone could do it, then Vodafone saying the opposite, the dealer Carphone Warehouse has to do it!:swear:
Gave up in the end, in pure frustration, just resigned myself in getting a £10 PCM deal with Vodafone, which after 18 months I cancelled yesterday.(y)
Good news is, since then, I now have two unlocked I phones.(y)

You can always cancel the one you have and order another as long as you are not bothered about keeping your number.
I did keep my number when I changed Lebara deals.
It is not the norm.
The PAC number transfer method is only for changing providers.

I hadn’t realised that limitation existed, so when I saw a newer Lebara deal and went for it I was stuck between two mobile numbers for my main contact phone.
For me, Lebara support had to unpack my old deals on the number I wanted to keep and then manually port over the deals I had just bought.
That option may not always be available. 🤷‍♂️

We have dual sim phones, our main numbers are on RWG PAYG sims and our daily use sims have whatever number comes with them, they are not given out and only for us to make calls on so if they change it doesn't matter thus no need to mess about porting.

I've used mine in the EU with no charges on business trips, not sure on the data limit though.

But they wanted to charge me when we went to Guernsey!!

Luckily had an EE data SIM to use for the week.

Got it up and working now, no problems, just stuck the SIM in and it all set up .
Just as good as my normal Vodafone SIM in my other phone.

Could you move to another provider then back to lebara?

I just moved to Smarty. I couldn't fault their system. Got 2 sims on their party plan and get 10% off each one.
£6 for unlimited minutes/text and 4GB of data for my phone.
£20 for unlimited data for my Internet router.

Both figures before discount.

That's not particularly cheap Grom.

We used our Lebara SIM in India recently and it was great. We're in USA at the moment where it's not effective so I bought a Airalo esim of 5gb for $16, works really well ❤️‍🩹 n between hotel hops

I was on Vodafone, so I got a cheap SIM from somewhere else, might have been 3. Was a bit of a pain but managed to transfer there and back in a few days.

It's was the cheapest payg I could find on the three network.
I thought they were contract sims from your post.

Monthly sims (not contract) from ID who use the Three network:

Also contract sims with more bang for your buck:

That is the same as I am paying for mine. Except I get a 10% discount so ends up being cheaper.

Which is exactly what I pay on my payg. £20 - 10%.

Oh and a pretty big thing for me is they accept paypal payments.
