3 years 30,000 miles UK and Europe.. Campsites and off Grid.
I (like others on here) have taken advantage of Lebaras great introductory deals for cheap internet on EU trips.

I'm off to Spain / Portugal for a couple of months soon.

I have a Lebara SIM at the moment that I think will give me 30GB in EU but I was going to get a couple more.

However, as I won't have used the new ones before I go does anyone know how those fair usage will work? Will I get away with using it for a month or two and then cancelling or is there a risk of big charges here?

Input appreciated from those that have had experience of Lebara.

I have a couple of lebara sims but always use them a bit in the UK before going away so I don't run foul of their fair usage rules, which are pretty common with other providers.

I think that that approach is the safest

We were away for about 9 weeks. Got a message from them after about 8 weeks that they were going to charge me something or other if I was still using data abroad in 2 more weeks, but we were on our way home by then.

So you'll get plenty of warning about extra charges I think.

O2 switched my data off completely after 62 days over the ditch, phone and txt still work though.
We use Lobster sims here in Spain after all the malarkey with uk companies.

If that's the case that'll be ok. It was this statement below that worried me. I

'If your roaming usage is more than your usage in the UK over any continuous 120 period you will be subject to a surcharge of....'

It seems to suggest they would just charge you and it's quite hefty charges.
However later it states the cost would be taken from a top up if your are not PAYG. So maybe they will just stop usage.
