We're using the last Lebara offer (12GB for 1p for first 6 months).

The SIM works 100% fine in a TP-Link mifi. (Using it to send this in the Gorge du Verdon).

Using abroad - you may need to manually change the APN settings first. Also make sure you've used and registered the SIM before going abroad.

Just starting our 5th week using it in France. No fair usage issues yet). (y)

Cheers Minxy, just ordered one, I missed out on their last deal by a couple of days

They are great deals. I have the 1p a month deal. Worked great in Europe on an old Huawei phone.

I had to change the APN settings first in the U.K. worked great in Europe.

Nick has Lebara and it was fine in Europe other than changing the APN settings. Haven’t had to do that since I went to Dublin with my first iphone , an iphone3 god knows how many years ago.

Doesn’t cover Switzerland which we’d forgotten about but I’m on 3 so we were OK. Worth knowing in case of breakdowns, better that both of you aren’t on Lebara. We were only staying a night on our way through to Italy and on our way back.

I hope you don’t think I was criticising, I think it’s great and put one of my sons onto one of the deals. I just thought I’d mention Switzerland as it caught us out as it’s fine in Norway and other EEA countries. Nick spent ages fiddling thinking it was his phone before we remembered! It wouldn’t connect at all even trying to manually select so at least you couldn’t run up an accidental large bill.

What network is this on?
just looked and its vodafone.(n)

The fair usage clause regarding roaming states that your UK usage should be greater than your non-UK usage over a rolling 4 month period. We therefore made sure we maxed out our data usage in the UK before crossing the channel to try and stop, or at least delay this kicking in.

I never thought that for one minute, but when you mentioned that I thought I'd put the info on here for others to peruse in case there are other places which they intend to visit which are not included. :giggle:

Hubby still has his Three business sim which, although it's cr@p here, works fine elsewhere and includes roaming in Switzerland, not that we intend to go there anytime soon as it's too ruddy expensive!

Yes indeedie .... I'll be giving it a good old hammering to use my 15gb each month before we go away! :giggle:

Sim arrived today and is working a treat ... very happy bunny! :giggle:

Update - there are a few cheap data sims on hotukdeals at the moment (see below) what I didn't know at the time is that by porting my number across to them I got an extra 5gb of data so have 20gb instead of 15gb, I'm not sure if this is for one month or the duration of the sim usage but a nice perk!

Update - apparently the extra 5gb is just for the first month, but still a good deal nonetheless.

I have 2 of the Lebara sims. 12g 1p a month for the first 6 months. Working lovely in France and Spain.

Bugger it was only 12gb a month when I got mine . Its working OK on Ireland at least . Hopefully still be OK in Spain.
