I have a T4 Navigator with a leaking window above the cab. I have removed the window and rotten wood, however the window is an old fashioned Perspex within a rubber seal design. I was wondering if anyone has replaced anything similar with an oversized piece of perspex bonded on from the outside? I have to rebuild the timber anyway so I can adapt it to any shape or thickness and at present if I retain the original window it requires a replacement seal.

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated. At present it looks like image one and I was thinking about black privacy perspex running the full width if it’s viable and if so where could it be bought online?

Why not?

Glue it in with a polymer glue / sealant.
Remember to drill the holes a couple of mm larger than the screws to allow for expansion.

Also make the sealants top edge tapered to stop water pooling.

Easy to drill with a hand drill. Electric tends to heat it up too much. Supplied by a firm down near where Portsmouth ferry port is now but fifty years ago. Long gone now.
