I have replaced the cartridge and tightened things down but the tap still leaks from the base and the housing. The cartridge seems sound, it works and does not leak. The pipes and push fits are sound. As in the pics, water seeps from the tap base...

I can't work out what is wrong other than the gubbins in the tap body have gone?

Can anyone please suggest a fix or a replacement as we go away next weekend 🙏

Thank you as always.

Ah, so it'll be those O rings that have perished. I don't have any of that size. Would a cheapo mixer tap from Wickes/B&Q/etc. be an OK replacement?

Yes. But may take some conversion to fit to your Moho pipework depending on what you’ve got.

Sometime a strip down and a lubricate of O rings is enough as they aren’t really under pressure, unless spout it blocked.

More than toes wet now!
As said, it's the seal on the pivoting spout that's leaking.
You could try dismantling the tap and coat the seal with plumbers grease however this normally only lasts for a short while
As you've found seals can be difficult to find so we just replaced the whole tap.

7 years campers before that
whether you can use a domestic tap depends what pump your van has if its pressure switched then any mixer from screwfix etc will do the job if your pump is activated by a micro switch in the tap then you cant look under the tap and see if there are wires connected to the base

I bought a Bristan mixer tap from Screwfix (I think) when our bathroom one was leaking (cracked) and it’s the best tap in the MH.

If it’s like my tap was, I removed the spout part and applied silicone grease to the seals ,sparingly (they where proper lip seal and not just o rings) been fine for 3 years ( that’s probably kybooshed it🤣)

Our similar repair lasted around a couple of years with it starting again with a very fine leak so ended up replacing.

Thanks for all the tips folks. I bit the bullet and bought a new tap. Rather than a £60 + job, I went for THIS via Amazon; 1 - cos it was cheaper, 2 - cos it was on Prime for next-day delivery and 3 - it's a direct replacement.

I reused the push-fit tails from the old tap, nothing wrong with them and it was a simple plug-and-play job that took no more than 30mins.
