Hi all.
Found that my shurflo water pump is leaking when pressurised.
It seems to come from a seal between the top bit and larger bottom section.
Is this repairable or usually a new pump?
Thanks.

Looking at that photo, there would appear to be some sort of powdery residue lurking in the vicinity of the screw/bolt-heads, and along the joint ?

This could indicate a long term seepage issue, . . . . . . . . or just a damp environment ?

Regardless, as the previous chaps have said, it's well worth having a go at resealing the joint.

Just a thought; bear in mind that if you use a silicon grease on the mating faces, other bonding mediums may not adhere, if you have to use them as a last resort, should the grease fail to resolve the issue.

Many folk do not use on board water for drinking purposes, so as PappaJohn says, if toxicity is not an issue, have a go at sealing the joint with a suitable compound.

I would try Fernox LS-X Leak Sealer, it is designed specifically for water systems, . . . . and I know that it works.

Nowt to lose.

I had one leak when in Germany a few years ago.

Only thing I had on board was Bostik Contact Adhesive, used it on the mating surfaces, it lasted for a few weeks until I got home 😀.

Then fitted a new one.

As the photo was only a thumbnail I didn't look that close, having seen that I would replace the pump.
