Leak from aerial

We have a problem that when the roof aerial is extended we get a massive leak. Would any of you kind people know how or any suggestions how to cure this.

Sounds like a O ring seal has perished.
Dismantle and replace seal likely the only solution other than not extending the aerial

Is it a Status type aerial?

If so, it can leak from two areas

• the seal around the pole and the roof. In this instance the water appears to run down the outside of the aerial tube. To fix you have to unscrew the locking collar inside the roof \ ceiling, push the aerial pole up through the roof and remove \ reseal the gaiter that's on top of the mounting foot and reassemble.
• the seal on the mast adapter (the joint that allows the aerial to tilt vertically). In this instance the water appears to run down the inside of the tube and out through the tilting bar at the bottom. Again you have to remove the seal and replace however this one is at the top of the mast inside the pole under the aerial.
