Hi all, what is the best location around lake garda for 4 weeks? Just want to setup and stay and be within walking distance to a town for bars and restaurants. Thanks all

scousebird I used the route below. Used all main roads, not sure what the road numbers are now without looking them up.What route did you use to get there?
Iseo area is not so commercialised as Lake Garda. Certainly quieter.Depends when you go, you might have very little choice. We went early September last year and the eastern side was very busy with many sites full or just a few pitches. Have you thought about another lake. We prefer Iseo and last year stayed at Camping Del Sole Village, an acsi site right on the lake with two great swimming pools and a 20 mins walk into town where you can take a beautiful lakeside train ride around the lake and to other resorts. There are loads of ferry points along the lake where you can take trips to the large island in the middle. Iseo is generally quieter than Garda.
So is Idro. StunningIseo area is not so commercialised as Lake Garda. Certainly quieter.
