Look on gsp rescue www.gsp rescue.co.uk they list rescue gsp's and gsp cross rescues. We have a gsp girl she is getting on a bit now but still gives us joy every day we rescued her through them, almost 13 years ago, they were great.

I will ask big Sis for you, she's a Lab lady but we also know lots of GWP people, you never know.

Would love to see a pic and really bad news about your 3 1/2 yr old.

Plan B: have you had a look at a Spinone ? what I would imagine a Lab/GWP to look like although they are very soft in temperament vs GWPs for sure.

Lovely looking dog, reminds me of a darker version of our Irish Terrier.

Agree size is important in a camper, next time round we're planning on Wire Teckels or a Smooth Fox

Sorry Wire Teckels = Wire haired Daschund (Teckel is German) Smooth Fox Terrier is the now ultra rare cousin of the much more common Fox Terrier (wire) only a few Smooth Fox breeders around today.... amazing dogs, what we call a compact camping terrier.
