Hi All Steve M
Had my bike delivered today as I can not Ride it till I have passed my mod2 only done 1500 miles and 2016 previous owner left on private plate KTM last 3 letters.
Not a mark on it even the wheels are spotless.

Interesting bike to start on :D

I suggest you change the rear sprocket for one with less teeth as that should keep the front wheel on the floor :D

If you want someone to keep it free moving most pm me

Joe

Nice bike this is mine 640 lc

Wizza nice bike is that a disc lock on the front wheel with an alarm.
I have bought a Oxford boss alarm.
Do you recommend front wheel to be locked.
Excuse the ignorance I am new to biking

You fit a disc lock to stop them being pushed away.

If someone wants it they will have it though :(

Understand that, is their any preference front or rear

It's a alarm lock soon as you move it you have 5 seconds to unlock it or it goes off it's outside my house I had popped in for ,10 mins before going for a ride its normally in my garage.

Yeah fit to the front

Always make sure you remove as soon as you get back to your bike before leaving as well. Its easy to forget and get thrown over the bars :)

Sorry but are you sure going from a learning to that took me at least 3yrs before going that large got rid of pan European a couple of years ago as to good for me?

Joe

@steve and gina
Don't do anything to it, you'll soon get used to it. You'll find that for normal day to day riding it won't be much different to the bike you do your Mod 2 training on.

Hooligan mode will be there if you want it as you gain confidence but it's not compulsory to use it.

I think they claim it's the most powerful single.

But I'm all ears.

You're probably right that's it's the most powerful single. For all that it's only a little bit over the minimum requirements to take a full A test.

For out and out hooliganism though..

Ah yes, I've commented on my one loan of one of those before on here, stupid fast.

BUT.......................... My money is on the Duke on the back lanes.

225kg vs 148kg !

I'll bring the camera and film you two at it.

Yes it's fast but it's also fine if you need to be sensible, around town for example or in bad weather, which is when mine gets most of its use.

It does tend to bring out the inner hooligan though.

One word sticks in my mind, 10 years on, "turbine". Effortless, brutal power. Just the job for a quick nip to Italy for the weekend. But a big single, oh no from my experience of an F650. Lovely round the lanes but not for logging miles, which is what OP has bought his for.

That Yam 700 Tracer I tried last week, I reckon that's as close as it gets to do both, surprisingly fast but light and nimble with it and smooth enough to pile on some miles. A real licence loser if ever I saw one. Though it's never been easier to lose a licence than it is today with all the things that get pointed at us.

Great Bike, I had one for about 2 years and enjoyed every ride the handling is surprisingly very good although I had quite a few moments trying to keep on the tail of my Sons going from a Leeds to Sherburn on Wednesday nights, one on a CBR600 the other a R1, still I lived to tell the tale. Enjoy.
Currently have a 250 Gas Gas Pampera that I take off road but now my age restricts me from getting the best out of it.

Gas Gas an excellent bike and well sorted. I had one years ago and loved it (y)

The perfect bike to commute from West Yorkshire to Andalucia.
Funnily enough it is in Andalucia at the moment though I wouldn't go into the Campo with it today? Sunday! Too many Hunters out on a Sunday so you're likely to get shot and not because you're on a Bike.

I believe there are in excess of 250 thousand Gun Licences issued in Andalucia so god knows how many illegal ones are out there, why can't everyone ride Bikes and be civilized.

Hi All
Thanks for all your replies I'm going to enjoy riding the bike in UK and Europe which is mainly for when we go to campsites and stopovers.
I take all your points about it being a hooligan bike.
I will Ride it for leisure and safely.
My BMW car has a top speed of 146 but never done that I want to keep my license so we can enjoy using the frankia
