Hi all, not sure if anyone can help me ..the plastic broke which was attached to the bar and this is the door handle ....I've tried twice by making a small piece of wood to literally hit the hammer mechanism to the then open the door .. the second version of wood I have made did not work either as the square bar is very near to the plastic casing and can't make it thick enough at the back ....has anyone ever had a problem with this and how did they solve it ..my next thought is to literally with small bolts , a 90 degree piece of metal attached and held to the bar with small bolts and the turning of the bar inside which is the handle on the outside should then hit the hammer mechanism.... Any thoughts or ideas from yourselves or where I can buy this plastic piece please let me know...many thanks Jon

Can you get a replacement 3D printed?
If you have to buy a complete replacement lock I'd be interested in buying the lock mechanism from you.

Do you have the original piece to make a template from? If so then it should be a reasonably easy (albeit time consuming) to make a replacement part. Problem is how long it would last for though, but if it was solid fill it should be as good as the old one ... Not sure about the part the nail plays? Could it be replaced with a bolt through the replacement part?

Thank you for your reply...I'm gonna try and make a metal piece which will connect to the bar

The nail was a strengthener through the wood...I don't the original part anymore ..I'm going to try to make another out of metal and connect it to the bar
