Morning.
Has anyone got experience on removing the front part of the dash on a Knaus a-class motorhome?
I want to add as much sound proofing/deadening behind/on-top of the dash to reduce engine noise into the cab.

I've undone the 6 torx screws on the top of the dash and lifted the extension piece that Knaus fit & underneath there's a couple of plastic notched screw type things that are pushed into metal brackets on the ducato dash which are reluctant to come out. I don't want to end up breaking this extension part as would be a nightmare to replace.

I also want to upgrade the rubbish speakers and will be adding sound deadening behind these.

Does anyone have any experience/advice with this ^ ?

Any help appreciated.

Massive job I'd have thought ?
Would it not be easier doing sound proofing from the other side ?
Is it really that bad
It's not that bad but I just wanted to get some sound deadening stuff behind there.

The engine bay "if you can call it that" :) doesn't have much space and I'm not sure how I could attach any sound deadening to the top.
