Hi, does anyone know how to replace this tap? I am going to try and remove the plastic nut but it is very tight and I could end up mashing it up. I cant work out how to remove the red and blue pipes from the braided cable.

Normally the red and blue pipes have a small wedge type piece of plastic that locks it together, I think it’s the black piece in your photo
some pull out like push fit fittings some you have to press in to release the pipe

There is probably a grub screw at the back of the tap at the bottom. Normally a star drive. This needs undoing to release the tap body.

Hard to tell from the photo but that type of tap is usually held on by a big nut underneath the worktop. I suspect the big white plastic thing that the braided pipes go into is actually the retaining nut for the tap. It’s very unusual to remove a tap from above. I think in your first photo your actually trying to undo the tap cartridge .

Thanks, I need to remove the top nut to replace the cartridge which is leaking. I think the child may have cracked the plastic.

Naturally not the same tap but the principle of the locking nut I think looks the same.
Just be gentle with the nylon nut, adjustable spanner preferred rather than adjustable as used in video.

To change the tap undo the large nut that is around the pipes in your first picture. But to change the cartridge you do not need to remove the tap, just stripe it and install from the top. Via the nut you show 2nd pic. To change cartridge you can leave braided pipes in place, but they release via a pin through tap base securing them.
