Morning

Another question from me I’m afraid…

One of the struts for an overhead cupboard in the kitchen has become ineffective and needs replacing.

This is what it looks like in it’s broken position:

The bit that screws onto the side (still attached) has a protrusion that goes into the side of the strut and slides along when the door is opened and closed.

There’s a similar one on the other side of the door.

Looking to replace and my Google-Fu isn’t up to the job, as I’ve not found one that works the same, so any advice on what I should be searching for?

Or any other advice like ‘Just use one of these <link>’ etc. All advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Indeed, loads… none of which look like the one I have, they all look like pistons, with a post bit going in and out of the end of the strut.

As I said, mine has a post that slides up and down the side of the strut.

That’s where I’m looking for advice… does it matter?

Thanks

As already said it is the length that matters. You could always buy two so that they look correct when the door is open
