Quick Q to the hive mind.

When heating water for a wash in the morning, would a kettle use less gas than my Truma4e.

I suspect it would.

I’m not necessarily after scientific answers 🤪

Yes but a bit restrictive if you want a shower. 🤣
Truma doesn't use a lot of gas using it just for water but a lot more than boiling a kettle.
We always set the timer on the Truma so we have hot water when we get up and use a kettle in the evening for washing up.

Thanks Lenny, we use it the same.
And you pretty much confirm my thoughts

We either do the hot water and quick heat blast in morning (as the Truma gives hot water as a byproduct when you have heat on) if it's a cold morning.

If it's warm, we tend to want a shower in evening, so just reverse the order, and wash up with kettle in morning, and just whack hot water on in evening for shower and washing up.

Trumas do tend to burn a lot more gas we have found if you leave them on constant "hot" mode through the day. So we just don't do that, on once a day only.

Truma being 10ltrs when ya only need a kettles worth. No brainer. And when hooked to electric it’s free. 👍🏻

This time of year you are silly to pay for electric though in most cases as it'd cost more than the gas.

(site I'm on right now is £11 a night pp pre any discounts for no electric), significantly more (double roughly) if you want EHU. I've been here 7 days and not used a bottle, even on calor pricing you are better ahem not taking the electric, and if you use refillable even more quids in.

Should say even paying Calor pricing at moment it's signifiantly less than EHU. I'll use it always if it's part of pitch or if the site (like all CAMC ones) don't offer a significant enough discount for no EHU though.

How is it free normally €4-5 a night for EHU.
I go where I need so the electric is usually within price, so I use it.
You quote € not £ so I take it your in Ireland or Europe (aires ! Where yes only use gas)
