Anyone got any experience of using the kennels on ferry to Santander. Haven't used them before as we always managed to get a dog friendly cabin. Wondering if the kennel area has any heating or should I pack extra blankets?

Happy to help
They are empty cages you need your own bedding etc. Not sure if the room is heated.

We investigated them a few years ago but the dimensions of the cages would have made it very difficult for our GSD to stand up fully or turn around.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Oh dear, those cages look a bit grim. My dog has never been in cage so I'd have to get him used to one before making the trip.

once you get him used to going in, most dogs do actually like cages/crates for a short time, gives them a feeling of comfort knowing they dont have to be on alert for things approcahing from behind or sides. They sleep better, granted probably not when on a ferry the first time.
