We normally plot places that have taken our interest on a map and then try to rough out some sort of route.
Travelling April/May so probably headed south first of all, depending upon weather.

What are your 'must see' places for plotting on our map?

That is very subjective.
What do you like to do or see? Marseilles Dock or the Eifel Tower, Coast or mountain, crowded or quiet, nature or man-made?

I'm interested in others thoughts. I generally steer away from crowds, but not to the extent that I'd never go near the Eiffel Tower, the aim is to cherry pic and rough out a route, rather than tick the box for a French version of the NC500

I d just point you in the direction of the journal section and view whole map of continental tours.

We’re looking forward to being able to do longer tours soon. The Pyrenees, western part of south coast, Lot, Dordogne, Tarn and Colmar area all on our hit list, plus probably a return to Bourgogne … that’s several 6 week tours I think

My favourite place in France is the German border👍🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though we do love the Alsace region👍

Love all of France, first choice to relocate from UK. 35 yrs ago.......... Glad we dragged our heels......... Portugal has the edge. Enjoy yourselves.

If you like a bit of history there are quite a lot of Knights Templar sites scattered throughout France, some still within occupied villages

Use ChatGBT!

The more detail you give it the better. Tell it where and when you’re crossing, how much you want to drive each day, toll roads or non toll, if you want to stay in Aires or sites, what things you like seeing and doing etc etc etc. Drop in some towns or attractions you want to visit.

Hit go and in seconds you’ll get back a detailed itinerary which you can then use as a rough outline if you want or just delete if you don’t.
