We had left Benidorm after 6 weeks at Arena Blanca coming up through France we allowed a week to visit The landing beaches starting of at Ouistreham as we pulled in to one of our favourite aires next to the ferry port in the rain Michael unhitched the trailer opened the door to get the electric lead out I stayed out the way in the front seat in van next I herd him shouting at someone in that one min of connecting the lead one immigrant got in the trailer and was sitting on my scooter as I got up there was one in front off me coming out the bedroom dog barked but not that loud, they both run off called police 6 turned up they could not do much as now there is hundreds off them at every port so please be careful coming and going through France

Not uncommon unfortunately and the police just remove then release them to try again.

That Aire has been like that for a few years now.

Part of me would be tempted, to park there on my way out. Get a load in then not stop until I hit Spain then kick them out. But in practice I probably wouldn't... but the idea appeals.

And still at the tunnel

Bus came back Via Eurotunnel.. didn't say where the migrants actually boarded the bus.. could have been at Boulonge or at a services

Unless I've missed it, he OP hasn't said what port or aire ..

Much better to stay at the campsite there and except July/August almost the same price.

Op said Ouistreham (Caen)
Thanks ..

then I misread it, they said, " starting of at Ouistreham " ,,. thought they started there, not that they stayed there..

and wasn't aware that was at Caen, nor was I the first to ask..

For those using Dunkirk, which in the past has been free of migrants on the approach because there is only one ferry every two hours and one drives unhindered to check-in, then a good Aire is at Bergues 25-30km away and plenty of space and lots of MHomers around, nice town too, but no services.

For those going through Ouistreham, either arriving or departing and wishing to stay overnight, I would suggest turning at the traffic lights less than 200yards from the ferry and travel up the coast a mere three miles and, either stay at the barrier entried Camperstop at Lion sur Mer or 'around the corner' at the free aire at Hermannville.

It's too far for some, if not all to walk for a free ride to the UK.
