Quikie Question - should an 8mm gas hose always have jubilee clips where it connects to BBQs etc.? Or is the push fit of the hose onto the ribbed connector ok?

Always, always, always use a clip and a proper Jubilee clip at that, not some cheap tat. :gum:

Yes. Use a clip for security.

0.4 psi... if the pipe is a really sloppy fit it will leak but a reasonably tight fit won't. A jube won't hurt though and will stop it pulling off when you trip over it 😏

If I trip over mine it will dump the dinner on the ground, better for the pipe to come of than that. ::bigsmile:

Use these:

Unlike worm-drive clips they don't have the flat area for the worm housing. They are easily fitted with wood-working pincers & removed with side cutters. They never leak or need re-tightening.

I would definitely agree with this post - much, much better than a cheap jubilee clip (y)

Due to the small molecule size of LPG its important to clip the hose. It will creep up the joint in time.

These work well on small hoses etc.
