can anyone who have these tell me how bulky they are and what’s the weight like.
Looking for away of keeping our 2 small dogs captive without the horrible wires which get tangled round chair legs, awning legs etc.

We have a set. I will dig out my weight list and post the weights.

Just off to walk the dogs....

We use them to make an enclosure around the van for our 2 Labs, it all rolls up and goes into an open ended storage bag, not particularly heavy as I think the poles are aluminium, we also bought a 5m length with the poles to seal off the gap alongside the van so the dogs can’t escape, really good system though, I can highly recommend it.

I'd guess that my 2 x 5M + skirt closure weigh 30Kg+. Excellent quality though & perfect for dogs.

Quality stuff Jormax, we have a windbreak for about 8 years, quite heavy though.

SO the numbers are....

Dog pen bags weigh 6.8 kg

Draft skirt weighs 3.4kg

And the gate weighs 1.3kg.

Our dogs are hounds and weigh 25kgs and we have not had a single escape when using the pen.

They are really well made and have lasted well. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Jormax is great kit.

They aren't the lightest things but they're well worth it. I wouldn't be without ours.

Friends have got the Cornish Vision windbreaks. I was surprised by how much they blocked the wind - I wouldn't have notice any difference from solid panels. They are very sturdy, dealing with the strongest of our coastal winds. They are on my "to buy" list!

We have jormax windbreaks and 2x pet enclosure plus gate..
We love the pet enclosures and in fact put ours up today at Keswick. The weights are well worth it

Jormax kit is the very best., ours are over ten years old and look as new. The quickest to erect, no guy lines or angled supports to struggle with, no plastic to break, and it will stay standing in a gale while most others fly away. All hand made by Bryn and his Mum in the forest of Dean (y)

We bought a 5m, 3m, 5m skirt and gate at Peterborough. Used them at Old Mo’s Bash combined with the Quest 4 sided Gazebo to make a 3m x 5m dog pen. Ideal. They also have a lifetime guarantee. We had to cut a bit out of the skirt to match our low step, but this was easy to do. Here is a picture.
With this combo can also make any size shape between 1m x 1m and 3m x 5m.

How did you cut the material for the step and have you ‘edged’ the cut with anything? We need to cut ours down for our step, but I am concerned about making a mess.

Blimey.....I can see some more sport on campsites... It will be just like watching tuggers spending hours erecting and fixing down awnings....

I simply cut vertical cuts down either side of the door. The skirt has one “hemmed” edge and one unhemmed. We have the hemmed edge running along the ground and the unhemmed edge uppermost. Having made the vertical cuts I then fold the “flap” down between the skirt and the van. I did not “edge” the cuts, and they have not torn, but...

When we get a chance We plan to sew a zip into the vertical cuts. This will have two purposes: it will strengthen the cuts so less chance of tearing and will allow different lengths of flap I depending on ground condition, slopes, use of levellers etc. I’m also thinking about using self adhesive Velcro to stick the flap to the underside of the step to hold it against the van and mitigate potential tripping hazard.

Yes,

I confess, it did take me half an hour or so to erect it, but that was mainly working out how to use it in combination with the Gazebo. I would not normally go this, but we had masses of space on this site, and plenty of time to play! I would normally go for a simple 2m x 5m dog pen. Building this would take much less time than continually untangling long dog leads!

They are fine. Ours are coming up for two years old and are fine. 90% of the time they are used on hard pitches.

I am going to try starting the hole next time with a drill. Plus occasionaly we get one where it will not go in too far and I end up using a guy wire arrangements.

Nothing compares to the quality of these.
