If he'd been MotoGP champ, then he should get the vote. But he won the B championship. Some would even put Moto2 above WSB.

If Lewis Hamilton had been F2 champ 6 times, would anyone care?

He's not the best UK rider, so I don't get it.

Fogarty played the big fish in small pond for years. Take the big cash and plaudits while avoiding the top riders.

Few years ago, at donny, I had a pit ticket. He,s a right ass full of himself. Biagi was a gent compared to him. He rammed his way through at last turn to win, at the expense off knocking riders out, literally. Never rated the bloke. Sykes much fun friendlier.

Supersport is a world championship. So is the 300cc race jobby. Only 1 really counts. Rea wouldn't be MotoGP champ, so he took the easier option.

In most folk's opinion. He's good, but most folk would admit he's not MotoGP quality. If he was, he would have been signed up by a top team.

But good luck to him for taking the easy money :)

He doesn't have to be Moto GP Quality.. That's like saying McGuigan is not in the same league as Ali
He's WSB World Champion Six times in a row, that's a record broken right there.

You don't seem to know much about bike racing, so I'll leave you to it ....
 
Isn't the 'debate' about the fact that he is a six times world champion, regardless of whether some think it's a 'lesser' sport than MotoGP for example.

Would a Darts or Snooker champion be less of a worthy nominee?
 
Yes I can hardly believe that a Six times World Champion is not worthy of a nomination
