John o'Groats area

Heading that way 1st or 2nd week of August, anywhere to wild camp and leave my MOHO for a couple of days if I decide to take a ferry to Orkneys/Shetland please.

I presume that’s two questions

Dunnet Head would be my first choice to wild, then maybe check a campra option to stay and leave MH behind loads of those coming on line typically crofter type locations so hopefully flexible for storage

Check with your insurer before leaving it parked up and unoccupied ... you may find it won't be covered..

If you're travelling Northlink Ferries you may be able to park at Scrabster Harbour Trust but better check with them as it may be cars only.

If you're travelling Pentland Ferries parking at Gills Bay is now quite restricted.

There is a small Cl just along from John o Groats on the way to Gills Bay, so they might be able to help you out. One can only ask.
