Jerez.....

After Morocco we want to do the MotoGP race at Jerez on May 4th.

The circuit does not offer camping. Has anyone camped nearby, especially when racing is on ?

We've been once for practice ( by car ), lots of parking but I don't know if suitable for a few days wild camping.

We did Monza this year - excellent camping that was full and then some, Jerez is missing an opportunity.

There is a campsite at Chiclana de la Frontera which isnt too far a drive from Jerez.

I will try and find details of the family that collected us from Jerez Airport I am sure they will happily give you some useful information.

There's also Camping Las Dunas at El Puerto De Santa Maria - a few minutes by train to Jerez.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I'd better spell out the problem better. This is the first European race of the season and gets over 100,000 visitors. So travelling any distance is a serious problem and travelling then parking a MH is a mega problem.

So I'm after walking or cycling distance from the circuit which is out near the airport.

If only we could carry a scooter :-(
