Following on from my questions about the site.....

The place is an absolute Gem. Not only the location and the layout. But Simple things like the wooden bench and very long hose for filling tanks. Absolutely cracking place, loved it.

We had a friendly and helpful welcome from Carl AKA @Gromett great to meet him at last. As it was @Mikeco and co. Not forgetting Bob & Sue the tuggers.

Jim arrived late and we never got around to introducing ourselves, but a big thank you Jim.

Shame your place is such a drag to get to. With traffic and swan necking, it was over fours hours from Manchester via the M62 and five coming back non Motorway.

Still on a Quest to find something similar for ourselves now. That is a small CL/CS with 5 Pitches and accommodation.

Highly Recommend Funsters and Non Funsters take a trip.

Trevor.

Don't look for a CL and pay a premium, look for a house with the land. As long as you are not going to get massive objections from neighbours Motorhomefun can exempt your land and make it a CL easy enough. You need good access, preferably a walk to a village or pub, but a bus stop is OK at a push. Being on a mains sewer is helpful but not essential. Happy Hunting. My advice, if you have somewhere to sell, sell it first, put your belongings in storage and live in the van. That way you are a cash buyer and can move quickly. We put an offer on this place on a Tuesday the day after it came on the market. 6 people booked on Monday to see it the following weekend. They were too late.

Yeah but that would mean funsters en más,arghhhhh

Wouldn't it be great to have a country wide network of small funster run sites :)

@Jim would be very interested in this, does it involve getting mixed up with councilers though because i avoid them like the plague, i have plenty access direct off the road, pub , river , shop, church all well within walking distance.

A few years back, there was a post, about getting our own site, members had shares

In the last 40 minutes I have put both Portsmouth and my beloved Wiltshire on Full Alert. I have also written this in invisible Toner so that @ukbill won't spot it and get offended.

Does that mean that only Motorhome fun members can use it ? I mean what happens if someone came along who was not a member and asked if they could use the Cl for a couple of nights, would you have to refuse them .

We leave that up to you, you can restrict it to Fun members, the public, adult only etc (y)
