Jackery Solar Generator 500: Explorer 500 portable power station with Solar Saga 100 foldable solar panel.

I work on an 'innovation' project that uses 5G. It isn't just a new phone and you're on the new super speedy data highway. There's a ton of stuff than needs to change from the mast and beyond. Most of which hasn't happened yet and it's just plugged into the old 4G backed. So at the moment, 5G provides very few of the promised benefits. It will improve with time though.

I get the idea and they have some practical uses, but surely it just adds complication, weight, space and unnecessary cost to a motorhome?

Wouldn't it be more cost effective to up the installed battery capacity and add an inverter, wired into the existing sockets? More practical, less weight, all your power coming from one source, less stuff to lug about.
I quite fancy this or similar, easy to find a place to keep it, easier than finding a sensible place for a second battery, do not want them almost the length of the motorhome apart. also could take it out the Laika and use it in the doblo, isn't smelly or noisy like a generator jury still out though have just done 4 nights with. No hook up, but didn't have the heating fan on.

may be of use to someone looking at panels to power it

I've never seen the point of these portable setups, I would rather add an extra panel on the roof and get an extra battery. That said, they must be great for tent campers. Though we had a guy on our site last year who used one away from his van to power an amp and a couple of guitars for a couple of hours, so I can see they might have some uses.

Does anyone else think the 5g masts look like covid swap sticks?!!

Perhaps that's where the conspiracy theories come from!🤣🤣🤣

I have a Bluetti EB70 which I didn’t buy for the motorhome but for home use. We keep our e-bikes (non-removable batteries) in a car barn which has no power and this power brick does the charging job very well. It also proved very useful in two recent power cuts, both lasting about 12 hours. It kept my CPAP powered overnight and also powered our router which we need for phones which only work with wi-fi calling. Basically it has already proved it’s usefulness in just a few months.

I chose this model of Bluetti because it is the only one of it’s size with a LiFePO4 battery. The battery technology was top of my priorities.
