Has any one bought one of the VERY CHEAP JACKERY units which are been advertised at silly prices “scam” or not?

Colyboy

What silly prices and where are you seeing the silly prices? - Put up a link to the adverts.

Presumably you mean one of these power units........,

Seems like every man and his dog has been given one to harp on about how great they are

What‘s a Jackery?

When you look at the comparison vids on utube, Jackery,s are poorly designed and the invertor which supposed to be pure sine wave, after a a few minutes use it goes off pure sine.

Bluetti was my choice..love it....our second source of van power..

I went for ecoflow instead of Jackery. The delta2 and river2 use LFP batteries.

My delta2 has an 1800W invertor - plenty for my coffee maker.

Costco have some cracking prices, but only on the old models at the moment.

I've just gone for the new Anker 767 with early bird discount. Will save me a load of messing with the new van's set up plus I can use it in our other leisure vehicles. Was a bit of a toss up between this and the Ecoflow.

Saw one advertised on fb market place. It was listed a few miles away, brand new , ridiculously cheap. I messaged and said I'd come and pick it up, the seller insisted on delivery after I'd paid him. Inside I'd pass. The advert disappeared but reappeared at a different address. Definitely a scam.

Forget the Jackery, my system consists of a 300 AH LiFePO4 battery pack , 5 x standard 3pin 240 plugs, four12v take-offs, 4 USBC ports. You never forget to charge it because as soon as your vehicle moves, it senses it and starts to take a charge. When I'm not moving it's designed to auto charge from my solar panels. This is a slick bit of kit. Mines called the Jimery (y)

Had to open this thread to see what a Jackery was. Every day it's an education eh.

Surely it should be called Jillery unless you only drive in Holland.

Ah but can you feed power to your home appliances ? People are being sold a 3 legged donkey with these ‘power banks’ for fear that there are going to be power and gas outages! If it happens I will do what I did when boiler packed up last month, I will just get in the van and drive off somewhere and we will be toastie 👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏

Apologise for reviving an old thread!

After showing an interest to an advert on Facebook Marketplace I just received instructions to buy the Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 500 - 512wh for £77. The Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 500 usually retails on Amazon for £556 Amazon Link

These are advertised all over FB Marketplace and this is the reply I received after showing interest and enquiring:

Hello, this product is in stock, it is a brand new product, our company is promoting this product on the website. It only costs £78 do you need the link to the online mall to order?

Here is our mall link, with detailed size and color. You can pay by credit card for only £77, you can use promo code xxx009 and there will be a discount. If you order now, it will be delivered to your home in two days.

This is the link provided:

I didn't proceed - If it seems to good to be true .......... etc;

So, what's the crack? Payment is via most common option - VISA etc

That link does not look like it came from jackery?

Colombia

Dont waste your time, self explanatory really but for the benefit of anyone who stumbles on this thread and thinks Rainbows do have pots of gold here you go.
when you get to checkout you will get to this page that says it will accept amex but won't take the correct format. What happens when you get here (after you have added your real billing and address details inon the previous page OH DEAR !!!) is you type in your credit card details , and the page will keep saying wrong details, even though you have been silly enough to enter them correctly. They now have your cc detail and address.. OH DOUBLE DEAR...call the bank quick....

On the subject of Jackery power station prices they currently have a sale on with some very good price reductions.
I've been after a Jackery for ages to power my astrophotography setup through the night but baulked at the cost.
Having randomly seen the 40% sale reductions yesterday I bought a unit after getting permission from the Domestic Supervisor.
Sale ends today though.

Ohh no are you saying they don’t 😳

I was hoping to buy a unicorn with the gold 😢
Don´t buy a Unicorn, I have 3, they eat everything, Sh*t everywhere and don´t do a days work, can´t sell them as no believes they exist............
