I just purchased a DriveSmart 55 with live traffic a few days ago for the car having previously owned a Nuvi 2445 which has been working flawlessly for over 10 years but just fancied something a bit more up to date. I never realised that letting it count down when I switched off the engine was only putting it into a sleep mode. I then went and checked the Garmin Camper 660 I have for our motorhome and realised that I've been doing it wrong it with that for over 4 years doing heaven knows what damage to the battery, so no doubt that it may need a new battery sometime soon




I may need this some time soon!
