It's my birthday

Before Covid it was Spain and bikinis,then my 80th and 81st were Covid years,and this year on my 82nd I'm stuck in the house again because of a dicky leg which I'm waiting for results and I can't have a Vodka because I'm on anti biotics, so I'm waiting for the plumber to repair a dicky boiler! But I'm still happy because all the family have been and I'm looking forward to camping in 2023

Happy Birthday. As denisejoe said, it’s only metronidazole (Flagyl) that interacts badly with antibiotics. Anything else is fine, the worst that will happen with most is that your bowels might be a bit loose. Metronidazole though has the potential for a disasterous reaction, like Antabuse so if you’re on that then please don’t mix them!

Anything else is fine, the worst that will happen with most is that your bowels might be a bit loose. Metronidazole though has the potential for a disasterous reaction, like Antabuse so if you’re on that then please don’t mix them!

The reason I'm being careful this time is that I've been on antibiotics 6times this year for UTIs and it does say on the leaflet that alcohol can stop them working as well as they should. I've always had a drink before so I'm trying to be good this time,but it's killing me!!!
