It is cold today

I thought I had done all required when a neighbour pointed out water, correction, ice trailing down our drive. It seems the fan heater failed to reach the parts needed!
Will have to wait and see if damage done. Last time it popped the plastic dome on the filter by the pump, which also later needing replacement as it leaked. That time I had drained all the water out.
So far this year we knew other parts of the country were super cold but not us, until last night.

It's not cold here. The thermometer reads -3c but I've taken the opportunity of everyone having their windows closed to spend the last 3hrs burning the mass of hedge & tree trimmings.

Great to have a roaring fire in the sunshine at this time of year.

Only thing I'm concerned about is, something has made a couple of stashes of rose hips ( about 30-40) under some flat laying old 6 inch wheels in the undergrowth out in the sheltered area of the yard that is left wild?

I know it's not Hedgehogs or Squirrels and never seen any rats or mice (too many feral cats ) so wondering what it can be?

Sometimes you think that its well drained down when there is some left in a dip and you don,t know until the thaw and its popped ajoint. Been devilishly cold here though.
