Hi to anyone who has been to the Isle of White,

Is it better to book ferry and camp site as separate package or do an all in one booking inculding ferry and site,

Thanks

First it’s Wight the natives will get upset if y don’t spell it correctly 🤪🤪
I personally use Southampton to East Cowes with Red Funnel I’m 9Mtr and towing toad but I book mine through a business on the island ( mates rates)
If you’re a member of caravan and motorhome club it’s easy to book everything in one go their site Southdowns is nice and centrally situated for getting out and about
Theres 100s of places to stay depending on your needs
Ive been going for 30+ years every/most years nearly brought property over there I have loads of mates over there you’ll love it

Try and avoid Cowes week it’s very busy and the ferries are ridiculously expensive unless that’s what you want

Last time I went booked through caravan and motorhome club, saved close to a year's membership than going direct with ferry company

Thanks and sorry about the spelling lol

IOW is a funny little place, we love it.
Usually book ferry with Tesco vouchers as half the price. But C&CC club will get you a discount as well as booking through a campsite.
There’s some lovely sites.
I can recommend Compton Farm( lovely and simple) Stoats Farm (nice but expensive)
Kite Hill (good for bus stop) and the one on the cliff on the south coast (can’t remember the name.
Wasn’t impressed with Camp Wight (basically a bog) but there are loads.

Some of us natives that inhabit the Hampshire coast, refer to it as the South Island
