Thanks and sorry about the spelling lolFirst it’s Wight the natives will get upset if y don’t spell it correctly
I personally use Southampton to East Cowes with Red Funnel I’m 9Mtr and towing toad but I book mine through a business on the island ( mates rates)
If you’re a member of caravan and motorhome club it’s easy to book everything in one go their site Southdowns is nice and centrally situated for getting out and about
Theres 100s of places to stay depending on your needs
Ive been going for 30+ years every/most years nearly brought property over there I have loads of mates over there you’ll love it
Try and avoid Cowes week it’s very busy and the ferries are ridiculously expensive unless that’s what you want
Thanks that greatOn Monday there was a bit more about ferries/camp sites which may be of use...........

Planning a Trip to Isle of Wight
Hi all. Been quiet for a while busy. Thinking of on Isle of Wight in May. Possibly staying at Whitefield forest.co.uk. They have good facilities and bus stop just outside the site, we could use our bus passes to get about. Campsite looks good and price is £195, 14 nights for 2 people and...www.motorhomefun.co.uk
Maybe. But it sounds much better when coming from a native caukhead when referring to the North IslandSome of us natives that inhabit the Hampshire coast, refer to it as the South Island![]()
