As good honest citizens and new to motor homing/camping, we make bookings and declare everything in our booking from how many adults and children to whether or not we will be putting the awning put.

Obviously the costs then mount up and yet no one seems to police these bookings very much or is this just my perception.

I am not trying to cheat the system here, simply to ask how honest people are when booking adults, children, pup tents awnings and all the rest in their initial booking and also how in the main is this policed by site owners etc.

Hope this question doesn't make me sound bad as often we are too much of a goody two shoes for our own good!

we always say how many adults/children etc also used to mention our dog when we had Bonny. unfortunately Buddy is does not like camping so he stays ion kennels.

I try and find sites that do not pile it on

I try and find sites that do not sell the pitch as if it is a bolt on... Not all of them want extra's for the awning, or the car on the trailer or the dog or extra children... or how many amps of electric.. I have started to think over the years so of the site owners are just trying to part me from my hard earned pennies.. so I tend to look for value and ignore those that have to have every last cent.

By the way know what you mean on an IPAD I have one... does it to me all the time, mind you the MacBookPro is not much better.

Hello from honest haganap

Nikki (Mrs Haganap) refused to answer this one,, so I will....

Yes we lie, yes once or twice we have hidden the kids if were stopping for a night and even hidden the dog (that's tough she's a newfoundland).

Never for a long stay, generally for an overnighter if we have been stuck for somewhere, being as naughty as we are we have left a site in the morning with the kids and dog waving goodbye out the window :Cool:

Oooohhh I can't help it, its the devil in me :wooo::wooo:

Seldom use 'big' sites, but even some CLs have a price menu..

Unless it is not made clear on the advert or web site there are no grounds for complaint, you don't like, don't patronise but IMO it is a fairer way to charge.

I understand the simplicity of a 'one price fits all' .. but not fair on the lone camper with a small campervan.

As for honesty, I'm no saint, but I'm too big a coward.. I wouldn't sleep if there ware a chance of an irate owner/warden knocking my door at dark o'clock .. :Eeek:
