There are two main types. The bullfinch, which has a bayonet and then turns, and the quick release type that is sprung loaded. Can't specifically answer as I don't know which is on your van. Probably the bullfinch, but not guaranteed

The quick release looks like this

A heads up, if you have the bayonet type it needs to be plugged in to be able to turn the tap.

It'll be the bayonet as I know for sure that its not the quick release type as its almost the same as the external shower point... We have an Autotrail...

Which do you refer to?

If you mean the bullfinch it has no separate tap, it's part of the fitting

We had an Auto Trail Dakota in the past. The BBQ fitting was the Bullfinch on that

Note the manufacturer specifically states that these gas points are not to be used as an inlet ,

It’s not a brand extra it’s an aftermarket item so could be any brand fitted
If it’s an autotrail SE version it was part of the SE spec for the 2003 era vans

As if anyone would use the bbq gas point to back feed gas into the Motorhome.😜
We did this for several weeks in Spain when we had a problem refilling the tank (not bottles) with LPG. We were advised this was safe by the manufacturer of the LPG system. There was of course a regulator on the external bottle we were using so it fed the system with gas at the right pressure.

I guess the advise from the inlet manufacturers is to absolve them of any blame if anyone messed up but if you know what you are doing it is safe.
